3 reasons Heidi booked senior dog photos with Pup + Me

On Monday, we went live with Heidi on Instagram and chatted all about her hesitations about booking with us and her photo session experience with us. Without further ado, here’s Heidi's story:

I am always the one behind the camera and my dream has always been to find someone with a passion for photography and companion animals. I was hesitant to book because I didn't want to cause undue anxiety to my dogs. I have anxiety and OCD, and didn't want chaos during the session. Finally, I was worried if the experience and outcome would be what I was hoping for?

A few of things made me feel better:

- First, I was lucky to have a close friend that booked and I offered to lend a hand with their 5 pups. From that I was able to witness the experience first hand and saw that Monica and Evan create a warm, welcoming and calm experience.

- Second, we booked a consult chat and discussed their process and locations. After the chat we received a link to book, there was no pressure, it was super easy.

- Third, Monica provides a prep guide that goes over tips and tricks, like should you bring treats? What colors should I wear? She covers it all!

The session turned out to be all that I expected and more. Literally said to David as we were driving away from the session, "That went WAY better than I expected.". The session was simply loving and interacting with your companion like you normally would, and Monica takes continuous snaps to grab those moments. Each pet and guardian had their own moment together, working up to a culmination of all together. The session was low key, low stress, and the time flies.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed, our time is limited with our senior pups, we have had a few pups pass within months of Monica taking our photos. Photos are not just for seniors though, document their life with you as they grow and your relationship grows. Don't wait for the perfect time, there is no perfect time.

Monica + Evan again! We hope you enjoyed Heidi’s story and watching her behind the scenes video from her last session, we know MANY of our clients struggle with the thought of how stressful a session with their pup could be. Don't underestimate your pups, they'll surprise you!
