What is the Canine Good Citizen Test by AKC?
The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test is a nationally recognized certification program developed by the American Kennel Club (AKC). It's designed to evaluate a dog's behavior and demeanor in everyday situations. The CGC test assesses a dog's ability to exhibit good manners, be well-behaved around people and other dogs, and follow basic commands.
The CGC program promotes responsible pet guardianship and encourages guardianship to establish a strong, positive relationship with their dogs.

October is also recognized as "Adopt a Shelter Dog Month." It's a time to celebrate the incredible bond that forms when we rescue and adopt dogs from shelters and rescues. This month individuals and families to consider adopting a shelter dog, giving these wonderful animals a second chance at happiness.
By participating in The Good Pup Project, we aim to raise awareness about the beautiful connections that can be forged through adoption, emphasizing the importance of providing loving homes to dogs in need.
Pit Bull Awareness Month
October is also designated as "Pit Bull Awareness Month." This observance is dedicated to raising awareness about the often misunderstood and stigmatized pit bull breed. Pit bulls are loving, loyal, and affectionate dogs, and it's crucial to dispel myths and stereotypes surrounding them. By showcasing the beauty and personality of pit bulls in our photo sessions, we hope to contribute to a more positive and accurate perception of these incredible dogs.
